I was thinking about my mom, daughter and grandsons today at Sunday night service.  One of the student’s said that she just had to come and speak to me and give me a hug today, she didn’t’ know why.  Then she said her name was Mary that was my mother’s name.  At that moment, that is when I realized God Loves me and he hears me.   I have been sowing, praying and reading.  I just want this block to leave so that I can receive. Everything that God has for me.  RSW has changed my life; I can never go back to the way I was.  If he answered the prayer about my mom, I know the seeds I sow will definitely grow, to allow me to be a vessel to give others hope who are just like me.   I am a mess and I  don’t know whether or not he wants to use me but I won’t stop thanking him, giving him praise and telling somebody else how he saved me from myself. I’m sorry Pastor if my testimony is all over the place but from childhood through adulthood I have been through hell and nobody kept me clothed in my right mind and kept  me but God even when I didn’t’ know it.  It took 45 years and a Great Awakening to help me heal from bitterness, loneliness , anger , resentment, low self esteem,  hatred, being unforgiving which lead into Rheumatoid arthritis and tumors.  More than that, I gave because I was a giver but I had no real knowledge of what love is.  All of that is changing for me.  Everything I am is because of God.  Today is a NEW DAY!

God showed me how I worry and panic and how at that time I didn’t just give it to him. He is working in me with that as well. Bible school has taught me to give and God has put that in my spirit. I’m still in a financial “tightness” but it’s different this time around. I’m not worrying, panicking, etc. I’m giving! I know that lack is about to end! I wasn’t talking like this week 1 of bible school, but it’s in me now, I believe it. God is changing me, and teaching me to depend on him, and to give! If it doesn’t meet the need, then it’s a seed.

Boldness is something I’ve prayed for many times, I’ve always wanted to spread the gospel in the streets, but never had the boldness to do it. I sat at Lake Eola Park a few months ago for about 5 hours a day for about 3 weeks, trying to gain courage to approach people. All I could do was sit and read my book and ignore everyone around. I lead 1 soul to Christ in 3 weeks. By the second week of bible school, I had already lead over 10 souls to the Lord. By the 4^th week, I lead over 25 souls. God has given me a holy boldness. He has changed me. Bible school helped me to just go out and do it. Best thing ever. I couldn’t go up and say “Hi” to someone a few months ago. Now I can say “Hi”, plus lead them to the Lord! Fear is Gone!!

I first applied for RBI in 2009. I was accepted however it was not yet God’s timing. I was very disappointed because I really wanted to attend school.

Two years later I am a student of RBI. I consider it a privilege to be a student during this Historic time of the Great Awakening that is taking place.

God is doing a deep work in my heart. The Fire of God is destroying yokes of bondage off my life. I feel lighter and freer.

God has given me more boldness to be a witness for Him and is using me to lead people to Jesus.

God is providing for me. He has blessed me with a laptop, clothes, and $120.00 from unexpected sources. This has increased my faith.

God is giving me a deeper passion for those who need Jesus and is helping me see other people and myself through His eyes.

God has blessed me with peace, joy, and inner healing.

Every time I get prayed for the fire and touch of God gets stronger and is more intense. One night after getting prayed for I got up off the floor and had to be helped to the car. When I arrived home I had to be helped to my apartment because I could hardly walk I was so intoxicated on new wine. To the natural eye it would have appeared I was drunk on alcohol.

I could not speak in English I could only speak in tongues. I spoke in tongues all night until I fell asleep.

Since being here I feel like I am doing something worthwhile with my life and making an Eternal difference.

I am growing up spiritually. God is restoring me.

Now I know why RBI in 2009 was not in God’s timing…..Deborah L.

This week has been utterly amazing .I have gotten totally renewed by God I have an even greater sense of urgency for the harvest as different things are being stripped from my life. I got on the phones to pray with people and had such a wonderful time.  I had the privilege of praying with people for healing, finances, salvations. 

It was just beyond words to have the Lord working miracles in these people’s lives. One woman who had knee surgery was up walking around with her pain level which dropped from an 8 or 9 to a 2 just in the few minutes we prayed on the phone. Her husband also felt his depression lift totally. God uses us all you have to be is willing to let him.  –Shawnalee F.

In May 2010 I was at home in Latvia in my church. We had some evangelist from USA ministering in our church. One service he was praying for people and prophesying. He prophesied to me for that time very strange thing – ”Your and your pastors dream will become true in the same time” I could not understand it. I was full of passion for seeing revival, helping people get out of darkness, involved in everything to make revival real.

And I was not in top ten for my pastor. I was confused about this prophetic word, because that evangelist was really full with Holy Spirit and prophesied to some of my friends very precisely. Because I could not connect it with reality, I just put aside this word us not for me, but I could not forget it…And now, nine moths later I am a member of River at Tampa bay church and my pastors dream- to see America shaken is taking place! And I see my dream – to see myriads saved is taking place! I never dreamed to come to USA, to River church, but God…

And now when The Great Awakening is gaining momentum, I understand how important is to believe the Word of God which He puts in my heart without questioning. I am called not to understand but to believe! Let us believe in harvest time now!!! Let us believe that our dream and dream of our Lord Jesus Christ becoming true in the same time and the harvest come in!!!-Martins D.

Before I came to the River Bible Institute I had had the privilege of leading maybe two people to the Lord. Since my time studying here at school, and plugging into the vision of the pastors to see souls get saved my life has radically changed. I am about to finish my second year of school and throughout my time here I have led hundreds of people to the Lord.

The script has made it so easy for me to share the love of God with people no matter who they are, where they are, or what they look like. I was out two weeks ago for soul winning with the church and we were going door to door evangelizing. I knocked on this apartment building door having no idea what God was going to do in the next few minutes.

A young father and his young boy answered the door. I handed him a flyer for the bus ministry that we have that goes to the neighborhood and invited him to join us for the Main Event, Sunday morning service. He said that he was a member of a church already. I went into the script anyways and he said he had Jesus in his heart. I asked him on a scale from one to five where he was at in his walk with the Lord that very day. He said he was about a three and would like to rededicate his life to the Lord afresh.

We finished praying the salvation prayer of the script and he had a huge smile on his face. He finished telling me that he was a deacon at the church he was plugged into and that he had lost his fire for the Lord. I’m so thankful that God used me to bring this man back into an on fire relationship with the Lord. God will use anyone willing!! We must always be obedient to the Lord to minster to whoever he leads us to! You never know what great exploits that man or women will do in the days to come to advance the Kingdom of God!

Soul winning has been such a life changing experience for me. Going out and sharing the gospel with people is really what Christianity is all about. I have had the privilege of talking to all kinds of people. Regardless of their occupation and position in society, they have bowed their head and asked Jesus into their heart. That only proves that the gospel is real.

The best part of soul winning is when the manifest Presence of God shows up while I am praying with someone to receive Jesus. A perfect example of that was just three weeks ago when I was out on a Saturday morning witnessing in a particular apartment complex here in Tampa. As I knocked on the door, a middle-aged Jamaican man unlatched the dead bolt and swung the door open. As I proceeded to read the soul winning script that I had been given, I sensed that this man was open to the Spirit of God.

After I prayed with him to receive Jesus, I told him, “Now that you are saved, there is a special language that you can speak to God in and only He will understand you.” I explained that is language was the Spirit of God praying through him God’s perfect will for his life. I confess that at this point, he seemed a little hesitant, but I put my hand on his shoulder any way and started to pray in tongues, encouraging him to do the same. To my astonishment, he did exactly that.

At first, he muttered softly, but soon he acquired some momentum and he was praying as loud as I was. I think I was more surprised than he was. After we prayed awhile, I stopped and shared with him that he could pray in tongues anywhere at any time he wanted. A beaming smile spread across his face as he thanked me for praying with him.

Without a doubt, I learned that day that I could never underestimate the power of the Presence of God.

When I came to RSW last year, one of my greatest challenges was the soul winning program. In fact, before I left Norway, I felt that a strong fear tried to come on me concerning this, because I did not think I would be able to live up to what would be expected in this area. I have never been very bold in sharing my faith, and have felt condemnation for that.

From the beginning, I would only speak with one person at a time and even that was a challenge for me to do. Sometimes I prayed with one or two, sometimes with none. But I kept on coming every week, and gradually it became a little easier for me. And I got encouraged when I saw people’s countenance change as they received.

I have tried to avoid going to nursing homes, because I have worked in one for many years, and did not want to go back into that environment. A couple of weeks ago, though, we walked by a nursing home while soul winning. It was like the Lord had already prepared this place for us. I ended up praying with 6 of the people living there, and it actually changed my attitude about going soul winning in nursing homes.

The same day I prayed with a family in a park. I first prayed with the mother, and then individually with each of her two children. I have to say that seeing children receive Jesus has maybe been the most precious thing for me in soul winning.

I know that I am still not the kind of soul winner they expect for us to be after attending RBI/RSW (I think the most I have prayed within one day is 16 people), but I have come a long way from where I started out.

Soul winning is a passion not a program. The Word of God declares that he who wins souls is wise in Proverbs 30. I am privileged to be in a church that goes after souls. The heartbeat of God is souls. God has been taking me to another level with soul winning this year. People on the streets are desperate to receive Jesus, and there is a hunger for God. I have become bolder to preach the Word of God. The fire of God is falling on the streets, and signs and wonders are taking place.

Healings are eminent everyday on the streets. It feels like God is about to release a new Great Awakening in the city of Tampa. Those were signs for the past Great Awakenings. It can see and feel it coming, people do not reject Christ like they used to. God is moving in the hearts of His people by the Holy Spirit. It is becoming even easier to preach the Word of God using the soul winning script. Sometimes people line up to get prayed for. Pastor Rodney said when things get worse, people run to God. It is happening right now, the harvest of souls is plenty and God is rising up the laborers. What a great time we are living in.

I am excited to be a part of this great labor of the harvest of souls. I count my life but as a servant and a messenger for God with the good news of the gospel. I believe that as we go out and reach this harvest that everything that we have believed God for will come to pass, but only as we lay our lives down and go after God’s heart. Praise God for the capacity to see a city shaken for God.

Well I can definitely say that going out soul winning now every week for the last 17 months that I have been a part of the River Church and the River Bible School as a second year student, has radically turned my life around. I have been a Christian since I was fourteen years of age, I am now thirty and before I got to know this great ministry called Revival Ministries International I can tell you that I was never taught on the importance of winning souls for Jesus. It took me a couple of months to really grasp for myself that the Great Commission Jesus had given in Mark 16:15 (NCV): “Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone”, is not only for the ministers as many Christians believe it to be but Jesus is indeed speaking to all believers.

Once I got a hold of this truth I went forth in obedience to my Lord. Every time I go out on the streets or go knock on the people’s doors, I have not only been able to reach them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but I have seen lives been touched by God right in front of my eyes. If I was to tell you one word to describe what I feel every time I share the gospel, I would say fulfillment. I feel fulfilled when I do it and when I walk back home, I feel that I have not only blessed the people by loving on them, praying for them, crying with them, laughing with them, leading them to Jesus but I am also the one who have been extremely blessed for obeying the Lord and for doing it out of love.

There is no greater miracle than the miracle of salvation! If you want to see a miracle taking place I highly encourage you to go out soul-winning and you will see it every day!
