Jesus explained how when the Word is sown into men’s hearts, the results of the Word rely on the condition of the men’s hearts. There are four different heart conditions that Jesus tells of, yet there is only one of them that serve God. When a seed is sown into good ground, it is able to multiply and produce fruit. The same goes for when the Word is sown into a prepared heart. A prepared heart is one that is ready to receive from God, one that will yield to God, and ultimately one that is humble. In order to receive from the Word of God, we must humble ourselves to God and allow Him to show us the things He wants revealed.

I have personally experienced the differences between a heart of good ground, and a heart of bad ground. While I was living in the world, I wanted nothing to do with church or God. I first visited the River while I was still in the world. It took several visits to the River before I opened my mind and heart to the things God had to say to me. As soon as I opened myself up to the Word of God, I immediately began to make changes in my life. Before I even knew it, I had rededicated my life to Christ and quit my party lifestyle. When I prepared my heart and allowed it to receive the Word, I began to see fruit from my life. We are to make our hearts like good ground, to sow the seed of the Word into them. When the Word is sown, we will begin to produce fruit.

Placing trust in God that He is able to perform that which He said He would do has always been a difficult task for me. I love the Lord with all of my heart, but I have always felt the need to try and control the situation. So I decided I am going to stand upon the Word of God and place my trust completely and totally with Him. So I did, I took Proverbs 3:5 and started quoting that every day. The only problem was I was still battling with letting go and trusting Him. It wasn’t until I got my heart in the right place that this verse started to take a hold in my life. I had to get rid of all the junk that was blocking this verse from coming alive to my very being. I couldn’t hold onto an offense where the situation that I tried to control didn’t go the way I thought it should. I couldn’t hold onto these things and still believe the verse which states “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding”, would do me any good.

Once my heart was right it was easy for me to approach a situation and not try to control it. I found that I could stop and say “Lord I may not understand what is going on, but You do. So I am taking my hands off from this situation and I am putting all my trust in you.”

You have to be willing to let go of those things that would hold you back and allow God’s Word to come alive and do a work in your heart. Believe me when I say it will change the way you view things.

Since coming to RBI, there have been many challenges that I have had to face.  Moving far from home to a new area with no support system that I once had, was hard in itself. I have learned that there is a completely different culture here that I have to adapt to, new people and different viewpoints.

But this is a critical time in my life; God has sent me out on my own to take that next step in my Faith, so the challenges are only going to grow me into a better leader. The pastors here have taught me so much in just a short time, and I am blown away by all I’m learning. I have had a hard time here, but I had an awesome encounter one Wednesday night at Student Ministries when Pastor Allen prophesied over my life.

Rodney Howard Browne – It was confirmation that I am called to be a youth pastor and this is my new season to grow and let go of some things I’ve been clinging on to. It’s so awesome to see what God has been doing in such a short time with me at RBI, I can’t wait to see the change in me at the end of this year….Adrian R.

I was thinking about my mom, daughter and grandsons today at Sunday night service.  One of the student’s said that she just had to come and speak to me and give me a hug today, she didn’t’ know why.  Then she said her name was Mary that was my mother’s name.  At that moment, that is when I realized God Loves me and he hears me.   I have been sowing, praying and reading.  I just want this block to leave so that I can receive. Everything that God has for me.  RSW has changed my life; I can never go back to the way I was.  If he answered the prayer about my mom, I know the seeds I sow will definitely grow, to allow me to be a vessel to give others hope who are just like me.   I am a mess and I  don’t know whether or not he wants to use me but I won’t stop thanking him, giving him praise and telling somebody else how he saved me from myself. I’m sorry Pastor if my testimony is all over the place but from childhood through adulthood I have been through hell and nobody kept me clothed in my right mind and kept  me but God even when I didn’t’ know it.  It took 45 years and a Great Awakening to help me heal from bitterness, loneliness , anger , resentment, low self esteem,  hatred, being unforgiving which lead into Rheumatoid arthritis and tumors.  More than that, I gave because I was a giver but I had no real knowledge of what love is.  All of that is changing for me.  Everything I am is because of God.  Today is a NEW DAY!

On that, date there was a tangible presence of God in the room.  I felt engulfed by millions of white lights of energy.  My eyes closed and hands up in the air, with my spiritual eyes I saw millions of these lights of energy shaped as if needles go right into my belly and piercing thru some wall of darkness.  In the natural, I felt a burning pain in my belly.

To my amazement, those needles of pure energy of lights had pierce thru some dark outer veil, which was before my spirit.  Then I saw the holes in that dark veil and the lights of energy that had gone thru the darkness had joined the same light that was already inside of me.  I cried out with a roar from within my spirit and a force coming out from my belly.  I laughed and cried and cried some more, then laughed and laughed again, then screamed and yelled.

I know something had been broken off from me.  I did not understand what occur, but I felt a freedom and confidence that I never had before.

Thank you Pastor Rodney, Pastor Andonica for your obedience and sacrifices, which paved the way to my freedom.

God showed me how I worry and panic and how at that time I didn’t just give it to him. He is working in me with that as well. Bible school has taught me to give and God has put that in my spirit. I’m still in a financial “tightness” but it’s different this time around. I’m not worrying, panicking, etc. I’m giving! I know that lack is about to end! I wasn’t talking like this week 1 of bible school, but it’s in me now, I believe it. God is changing me, and teaching me to depend on him, and to give! If it doesn’t meet the need, then it’s a seed.

Boldness is something I’ve prayed for many times, I’ve always wanted to spread the gospel in the streets, but never had the boldness to do it. I sat at Lake Eola Park a few months ago for about 5 hours a day for about 3 weeks, trying to gain courage to approach people. All I could do was sit and read my book and ignore everyone around. I lead 1 soul to Christ in 3 weeks. By the second week of bible school, I had already lead over 10 souls to the Lord. By the 4^th week, I lead over 25 souls. God has given me a holy boldness. He has changed me. Bible school helped me to just go out and do it. Best thing ever. I couldn’t go up and say “Hi” to someone a few months ago. Now I can say “Hi”, plus lead them to the Lord! Fear is Gone!!

I came to school on the first day not to attend classes but to inform someone I had no tuition and needed some type of assistance. WOW lo and behold I was told I had a scholarship I thought I did’t hear her correctly; she said yes I saw it myself. I then said now all I need will be a carpool. The car I had credit was turned down three times, so I attended class after four days I was planning to forget about it. That’s when I read this; in the Daily Word, it was just for me . God was reaching out to me. I got dressed an headed to school. The Registration arrived in the mail, then I realized the credit was approved.

I felt numb, I was then afraid. Was this for real? O God why you love me so? Please Help Me Lord I’m Scared” I can’t quit or walk away now I’m in to stay.” Praise the Lord” Everything big begins small, and your attitude in the beginning often determines your success in the end. The Bible says::Who despises the day of small things.?” Delight in what God gives you to start with, because He does! Thank him for your small beginning. Before the drought ended and the rain came , Elijah saw a cloud the size of a man’s hand 1ki 18:44 that’s pretty small, but he rejoiced over its potential.

God gives a seed of hope something small but something better than nothing. Take that seed and plant it praying over it and believe God fore increase. A lot of us throw our seed away. When we despise “something we diminish its potential; we take no notice of it, we don’t care for it. When we don’t care of what God gives us we lose it. And if we lose our seed we never get to enjoy our harvest .Hebrew 13:5 tells us to be content with what we have,” For he{ God } Himself has said I will not let you down” That’s why you can be content during your small beginnings. You know that what God commences. He completes. So be patient be expectant, and keep moving forward. “Do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God you may receive the promise” {Heb10:35-36…….Claire S.

I first applied for RBI in 2009. I was accepted however it was not yet God’s timing. I was very disappointed because I really wanted to attend school.

Two years later I am a student of RBI. I consider it a privilege to be a student during this Historic time of the Great Awakening that is taking place.

God is doing a deep work in my heart. The Fire of God is destroying yokes of bondage off my life. I feel lighter and freer.

God has given me more boldness to be a witness for Him and is using me to lead people to Jesus.

God is providing for me. He has blessed me with a laptop, clothes, and $120.00 from unexpected sources. This has increased my faith.

God is giving me a deeper passion for those who need Jesus and is helping me see other people and myself through His eyes.

God has blessed me with peace, joy, and inner healing.

Every time I get prayed for the fire and touch of God gets stronger and is more intense. One night after getting prayed for I got up off the floor and had to be helped to the car. When I arrived home I had to be helped to my apartment because I could hardly walk I was so intoxicated on new wine. To the natural eye it would have appeared I was drunk on alcohol.

I could not speak in English I could only speak in tongues. I spoke in tongues all night until I fell asleep.

Since being here I feel like I am doing something worthwhile with my life and making an Eternal difference.

I am growing up spiritually. God is restoring me.

Now I know why RBI in 2009 was not in God’s timing…..Deborah L.

Day #83 of the Great Awakening with Drs. Rodney and Adonica Howard-Browne and CTN! We may never know the impact of this Great Awakening this side of eternity, but I believe we can rest assured of one thing, people are being saved and lives are being changed for eternity! Isn’t this what we as Christians are supposed to be most concerned about?

I believe it is! It is easy in these times for us to kind of get into a cruise control mode where we are just going through the motions and neglecting to seek God’s face as we are constantly urged to do in the Bible! Through all the business and activities of revival I know it is easy to get into this mode but I hope and pray that we as the body of Christ are not allowing it! I believe that the Great Awakening in this world is not dependent on God alone!

I believe He is always ready and willing to show Himself strong on our behalf, what I also believe is that we must want to see this move of the Spirit of God with all our hearts! We must want it with desperation! Now is not the time to be relaxed, God is up to something and we need to seek Him until we know exactly what it is and what our part is! This is what the Holy Spirit has been working in my heart, the steadiness and fortitude needed on our behalf to see the move of God that is so needed today! We must not quit or become relaxed with our faith! We must persevere in our dedication and faith until America and the world have been shaken with revival! -Jennifer W

What an awesome week in the presence of the Lord. This GAT is truly life changing. I’ve been serving at church 5 out of the 6 days and it’s been life changing. God spoke to me about so much in my life. The Lord said that if I would obey, He will give me clear directions on where to go next. He will lead and guide me. The Lord has placed nations in my heart and I believe revival is going to break lose.

This nation will be shaken; we just need to start yielding to His indescribable presence. The Lord wants to use each one of us. We need to start working on the fire that He has placed on the inside of us. It’s a consuming fire… it’s shut up in our bones. This is the time to press in more and more. God wants to give us His anointing in abundance. He wants to give us life and blessings in abundance. He is the healer, counselor, mighty God. His love is never failing.

God is so big that heavens couldn’t hold Him, but yet so small that He lives’ on the inside of us. He is the God of miracles. He wants the yielded vessels that are willing to be used by Him. Keep your heart right, and your eyes focused. There is more to gain in the presence of the Lord. You just need to get hungry and thirsty. He doesn’t come in town; He lives in the heart… -Zante P
